Brief Intermission

October 5, 2018

It has been a long season but things are finally winding down. Although I would loved to say that we advanced past FC Barcelona in Champions League round of 32, unfortunately, their goal against us on our home field gave them a two point advantage. However, a 3-1 win in the first leg feels like a victory in itself. You can’t help but admire teams like Barcelona with great respect, idolizing them even, but when our small team from Kazakhstan pulls off a well-deserved win, you know such victories come straight from the heart.

I would not say I’m home sick, but I do miss my family and friends dearly. However, the opportunity to travel countries on the opposite side of the globe doesn’t come knocking very often. Since I’m already here, well, I might as well visit some of my neighboring countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq here I come!!

Completely joking, do not worry. Although I would love to explore those countries one day, as a solo female traveler, perhaps I am not ready. Instead, I will let my journeys be a surprise. If you follow my blog already, then you will be updated every step of the way. If not, you can subscribe directly from the website, like my Facebook Page, or follow my Instagram accounts: @Kaelyn_Korte & @Alongtheway.Today.

My adventures do not begin until mid October, so until then, I will unwind, relax, and prepare for a month and a half of going wherever the wind takes me.

I will never stop being thankful for all the support. So once again, thank you, and you will be hearing from me again soon.

Either my team wasn’t ready, or my butt looked really good in those shorts. I’m thinking the second one though.
